The Cards From My Party

These are the two cards we made at my Stampin' up party a couple Saturdays ago. The girls and I had a good time making these pretty cards.
These are embossed too. The tree one is so pretty. I showed it to Ryan and he didn't believe me I made it. He said I had to have bought it cuz it was so nice. It didn't look homemade. I think that's a compliment from him.

Cards

Here are a few of the cards I've made recently.

I have had a lot of fun dreaming up ideas for cards. I seem to be getting better. Which is a good thing!

I've started embossing which is so cool. The cupcake card is embossed. The "frosting" is dazzling diamond embossing. I am really getting into this. It's a lot easier to go to a "crop" or a Friends house and make cards then scrapbook. At least for me. I don't have to pack my whole room to make cards.

My Scooter Ran Outta Gas

Help! My scooter ran outta gas!
Jake went running in the garage and got out the pretend gas pump. He filled up both scooters with gas.

Marli comes running down the sidewalk exclaiming her scooter ran out of gas again. I didn't catch the poor girl biffing it. She fell hard and just got back up and continued running.

A Favor Makes Ryan Happy

Our friends Robert and Kim Fitch live across the street. They asked Ryan to Store Rob's gun's until he can get a gun safe. Ryan took these pictures of the inside of his gun safe. He was giggling like one happy boy. He was thrilled to have so many guns in his safe.

Jake helped his dad today. He went across the street with Ryan to the Fitch's house. He loves being one of the guys.
Here's Marli tired of trying to ride her scooter and is pulling it home to put it away.

Scooters And Snow

I asked the kids if they would like to get their scooters out and ride them. Silly question. They were so excited. They got scooters for Christmas and really haven't gotten to ride them.

Jake lined up the scooters for a race. Marli's just figuring out how it works. Jake is a pro. He really gets going on his. I'm so glad they have each other.

Imagine You

Imagine You've Won A Contest............
The prize is every morning a bank opens a new account in your name. It has $86,400 in it. There are only two rules you must follow:
Rule #1 : Everything you fail to spend that day you loose. You can't cheat. You can't transfer the money into another account. You have to spend every cent by the time you go to bed. Each morning the account starts over. Whatever isn't spent is taken from you that night and is lost. Therefore the sole condition is you spend it all that day.
Rule #2 : The bank can break off the game at anytime. The bank can close your account at anytime with no warning. The bank won't open another account. It's over. So what would you do if you won this amazing prize?
We all have this prize which is TIME. We have this big account.....It's filled with fleeting seconds. Each day we have 86,400 seconds. When we wake up each morning, there is no carry over from the day before. What hasn't been lived is lost....Yesterday has vanished. Today is a new line of credit. Remember, we don't want to loose a single second! Let's make the most of the time we have left.
Spend It Wisely!!!

Outside In February

It has been so cold here I honestly can't remember the last time I went outside with the kids. Marli and I were having fun together hanging out in our front yard. She likes the poinsetta that our tin snowman holds. She likes to pretend like the flowers smell yummy.

Thanks for throwing me a kiss sweetheart!
Have I told you how much I love this little girl? She is so fun.

Sweet Marli

Marli and I hung out while the boys were playing video games. To my suprise she let me take her picture. These are some fun shots of the sweetie pie.

Nintendo Game Cube

Ryan got Jacob a Nintendo came cube and a little t.v. for his room. I'm not sure who has more fun playing the games. I love to watch them interact with each other. We went to my parent's house and picked up our old banana chair they were storing for us. Glad we didn't throw it away.

Jake told me to take a picture of the t.v. so their ya have it.

All week Ryan was working afternoon shift...so he goes to work at 1:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. Jake has missed his dad all week. He knew Ryan had Friday off. Everyday he would ask me how much longer until Friday. Jake told me on Thursday morning"It sure takes a long time to get to Friday." You don't have to tell me that I completely agree. Jake told me "When it's Friday I'm spending the whole day with my dad and you don't mind my business." I think he must have picked that up from someone telling him to "mind his own business". You can see how happy he is to spend the day with his dad.

Your Invited To Our Dance Party

Thursday after work I picked the kids up from my mom's. We went to Wendy's to get chicken nugget kid's meals. After the kids ate dinner they asked me to please come to their dance party. Jake put on his Sunday dress shoes to dance with his sister. I was trying so hard not to cry....I was laughing so hard at the two of them.
Marli got these new jammie's and when she put them on started twirling around. She said they make her feel beautiful like a princess.

Princess Ariel Will You Marry Me?

Jake said he was prince Eric and Marli was Princess Ariel. I was shocked at what came out of his mouth next......he got down on one knee and said "Princess Ariel will you marry me?" Marli said "Yes Prince Eric I will marry you." They hugged and started dancing. Jake showed his sister where to put her arms when they danced.

These two are always pretending something. I put my camera on video and Jake did it again. I tried to upload the video to blogger. I will keep trying. These two are so darling. I'm thankful I have them around to keep life exciting.

Tuesday Night Activities

Tuesday Night I went team teaching with the LDS sister missionaries. This was something I have never done before. I picked up Sister Mann and Sister Griffith's at 6:00 p.m. This is an experience I will never forget. I feel so blessed to have a little insight on what the missionaries to on a daily basis. We visited inactive members of the church as well as investigators and people who the sister's had on their list to contact. Sister Griffith's mission is about to come to an end. She has been serving for 18 months. Next Wednesday when they do transfers she will be going home to her family in New York. Sister Mann has a while left she is from California. One of the homes we went to was a 92 year old woman Sister Bradley. She was the neatest lady. She has a cockatoo bird that was so entertaining. This woman has 5 children that she has out lived. The sister missionaries sang the most beautiful song while we were at this amazing woman's home. The spirit was so strong. Our stake boundaries are huge. We drove to 9 different homes in a vast range of mileage. I took the sisters home at 9:00 p.m. I am so thankful I was asked to do this.

My Mom & Dad were nice enough to pick the kids up at my house and keep Jake and Marli until after 9:00 p.m. when I finished.
My parents had the kids Jammie's on when I got there. I had cookies for the kids. I told them they could have them the next day. Somehow they talked me into letting them eat them on the way home.
