Fun In The Sun

After breakfast the kids got dressed and we all pitched in straightening up the house. I took the kids to the park by our house. It was a beautiful day.

I had so much fun watching them play. The four of them had a smile from ear to ear.

Good Morning Beautiful

I was suprised that after staying up so late the kids were up at 7:00. They told me they were starving so I made a nice big breakfast for them.

The girls were so cute they wanted to sit next to each other. I cut up a bunch of apples and they loved it.

So sweet

The kids were still going at it after 11:00. I went to bed and Ryan was still up. I woke up in the middle of the night really sick. I went in to check on the kids and had to take a picture of how sweet they looked.

I set up sleeping bags on the floor for the girls. When I went in to check on them this is what I saw.

Marli had her dog Brownie on top of her head. I couldn't believe she could sleep like that. I moved brownie and covered them up.

A Fort For 2 Boys

Ryan made a fort for the boys downstairs. I missed out on that photo op. The boys thought it was so cool they had the whole basement to themselves.

Kamri and Marli went in Marli's room with snacks and shut the door. They watched movies and colored. They played dress up and wouldn't let me take their picture. It was so fun to watch the girls do their own thing.

Play In My Band

Jake went in his room and brought out instruments for everyone. Koby plays a mean guitar. Jake was attempting to play a recorder. They were having a blast.

The girls were singing and clapping and just having a great time.

We could take this band on the road....I told Ryan Jacob could be the road manager and roadey. He isn't musically talented but he could keep all the equipment working.

Pirates & Video Games

As soon as Koby came in the house Jacob had him dressed like a pirate. The two of them were saying "RRRRRR" and totally in character. It was so fun to see them play together.

Koby was really excited to play video games in Jake's room. Ryan showed them how to get the car game going and that was all the help they needed.

Cousin Sleepover

I ordered pizza and root beer and the delivery guy no sooner drove off....Grandpa Reuel and Grandma Lyn pulled up in their van. Our little Friends were with them...Koby, Kamri and McKenzi. Jake, Marli and I all ran out to greet them. I gave them all a hug and when little Kenzi saw me she made my day. She smiled at me and gave me a hug. We haven't seen them for way too long.

We got everyone inside and invited Grandma and Grandpa to eat dinner with us.

Oh Happy Day!

I am so excited. The fed ex guy came to the door at 5:30 on the $$$. I ripped open the box and my camera is as awesome as I hoped for. I am going to be spending the next few days studying the manual. Hopefully I'll be taking good photos in no time.
So I ended up getting a sony DSC-H7 8 megapixel and 15x optical zoom it's black and has a really nice view finder to look at. Thank you Ry...I love it.

Fun At Tautphaus Park Zoo & KFC

Today my dad watched my kids while I did my church calling. Part of being the compassionate service leader is visiting new mom's after they have babies. We take them a blanket and a card. Well with me not feeling very well lately I got a little behind. We had 3 ladies to visit today. It was really fun. Interesting that all 3 mom's had baby girls. What is going on with everyone having girls? When I was done with that I picked the kids up and met my friend Devon at Tautphaus park zoo. Our friend Betsy was able to come too. Betsy is a traveling nurse. She works a lot with cancer patients. She's a kick in the pants. She's a lot of fun to have around.

Well after a couple of hours in the hot sun we decided it was time for lunch. We met at KFC. I ordered my food last and didn't realize how hungry the kids were until Jake started helping himself to Betsy's mashed potatoes. Our food was finally done and Jake and Marli ate every kernel of their corn on the cob and they didn't have any sign of food left on their plates. Wow!

We are all very excited Aunt Kimmi had her baby on Wed. both mommy and baby are doing great. We're going to have a cousin sleep over tonight. Koby and Kamri are going to stay with us and we're going to have a blast. The kids are in the tub now getting what dirt they stole from the zoo off of them. Fed ex says my camera is in I.F. hopefully it'll get here by 5:30. I am going to be so sad if I miss out on taking pictures of the kids and their sleep over.

Reconnecting With Old Friends

What is it about some friendships that no matter how much time goes by, when you see that person it's like nothing has changed. Last night I got home from work and pulled in the driveway to be pleasantly surprised. Ryan used to work with Bryce Hillman at 3B. I adore his wife Telecia and their two kids. They live out in Ammon. I've run into Telecia a couple of times and it's always so fun to see how they're doing. So last night they came out to our house and we visited for a few hours. Their little girl is 7 and her birthday is Aug. 3rd. She is 18 days older than Jaxon. I have such a connection with her and enjoy being around her so much. When Jacob and Marli were born she held them. I need to find those pictures. I'm so thankful for the special friendships Ryan and I have made over the years that just seem to stand the test of time.

RLS/Leg Cramps

Lately I have had some really interesting things going on with my poor legs. When I sit down after a long day or crawl in bed my legs twitch and fling around. It's like they're having a seizure. Ryan said it drives him nuts. I'll be trying to relax when all of a sudden my leg or legs just go nuts. I've had this happen in the past and it didn't bother me that much. Now when it happens my calf muscle tightens and I get the worst charlie horse. My calf muscles are like mush. They hurt constantly.

I found this picture on the web of a baby foot with the mothers hand and thought how appropriate. It's all because of this little person growing inside me that my body has literally turned into a freak show.

Yesterday at work I asked my boss Dr. Fred (who's a chiropractor) about my uncontrollable twitching and horrible leg pain. He explained it really well. It seems this is happening because of poor circulation. He found a trigger spot on the front of my ankle that is so tender. He said if I put vick's vapor rub on that spot it will get blood to circulate better. Ok I'll try anything once. He also gave me these chinese moxa things to put on that same trigger spot. I will be experimenting this weekend and let ya know if it helps.

When I was working out with my trainer I would do standing calf raises. I try to do them when I stand for long periods of time. I'm hoping my calves will feel better soon.

Field Trip

Jacob had a field trip today. Mrs. Di called me yesterday and asked me if I could help out. Her oldest son Jared and his wife were having a baby and she was leaving for Utah. I told her I could if it was OK Marli came with me. Of course she said no problem. Marli was excited she got to go to school with her brother. We got to pre-school and Mrs. Kristy was there and the kids were a little excited. She asked me to sit at one of the tables and help the kids get their work done. It was so fun. The kids liked having "Jakey's mom" help them with their papers. Marli sat next to me and would introduce herself to the kids. She wasn't shy at all. When the time came Mrs. Kristy assigned the kids who they would ride with. We drove Ryan's truck it has more room than my car. Jake didn't care about anything except his best friend Kaden. Mrs. Kristy had told Kaden to ride with a different mom. Jake raised his hand and begged her to let us take Kaden with us. So we loaded up the kiddos and headed to Comfort Touch Dental. When we got there we all went in. It was funny that Kaden's mom was the dental hygienist. She told me that Kaden always asks her to call Jacob. She said I should get your #. I was hesitant because that's really all I need is two 4 yr olds calling each other all day. We learned a lot and after the tour of one of the nicest offices I've ever seen we were off again. We went back to Mrs. Di's. I asked Jake what he wanted for lunch. He said he wanted to go to McDonald's and play at play land. When I pulled into McDonald's Jake said mom I never realized how close Fred Meyer is to McDonald's. The kids played and had a great time. We came home and it was so beautiful outside they played in the backyard. What a adventurous Tuesday.

I still am without a camera...I was able to get these uploaded from my cell phone. I will be so happy when my new camera gets here.

National Scrapbook Day

Today is National Scrapbook Day! Hooray! It's so funny to me how not so long ago I really thought scrap booking was stupid. I would wonder why people would waste their time and money on such a thing. Then about 5 years ago the scrapbook bug really bit me and that was the end of that. I really love creating layouts. I make cards and whatever else I can get my hands on. I went to a crop last night. I made some Mother's day cards, a adorable bobunny birthday calendar that was in a kit, and a recipe book with recipes. I got there at 6:30 and was still scrapping at 11:30. I didn't realize it was so late and finally cleaned up and came home. Everyone was in bed at my house. I wish I had a camera to show you all the fun stuff I made. Unfortunately we're still in the research stages of getting a new camera. I tried to upload some projects I did at a crop last sat. I hope you'll bear with me and get the general idea.

I made this fun tile board...you paint it and decorate it like a layout. So fun!

I made a two page layout of "my boys" I don't know if you can tell...but Jaxon and Ryan are both pointing at my belly. Jacob is in there and would be born in 2 months.

I signed up a year ago to get a kit every month from this awesome co. called ETM...express the moments. You get so much in the kit every month. The gal that does it lives in I.f. and I pick my kit up every month. It's so fun. it has everything in it to make several projects. Saves me time and $$$ going to all the different craft stores picking up supplies. I love it. OK so there ya have it. I think today is a great day to clean up my scrapbook room and rip into this months ETM kit. How appropriate that it's a birthday themed kit. May is full of Birthdays for my family.

Uncle Rod, Aunt Kimmi & Baby Jax

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body" ~ Elizabeth Stone ~

I have been working on a tribute book to Jaxon. I came across these pictures of Aunt Kimmi and baby Jaxon. I thought it was cool that Aunt Kimmi is about to have her 4Th baby and not long ago she was newly married and Jaxon was born. These pictures are priceless. When I look at them I see how much she loves Jaxon and what a good mommy she will be. She is an awesome mom. We are so excited for her and Rod as they get ready to welcome this new addition to their family. There's no question how much they will love this new baby. We love you Aunt Kimmi and Uncle Rod...Good Luck as you get ready to welcome your baby to the world. We are praying for you,all will go well.

Been Gone 2 Long!

I found these pictures on the Internet and they describe how I have been feeling lately.

So I have good reason's why I haven't posted in 2 months! My camera died. I have had a lot going on and posting really wasn't a priority. Most of you know I have been really sick. I thought I would feel better by now. I don't. So I figure if I'm ever going to post again...I might as well just do it. I'm now 4 months pregnant. Shocking I know! Ryan and I were both shocked. No we weren't trying. We thought we were done having kids. Apparently not.

I have adapted this quote as my life motto: " Character can not be developed in ease & quiet. Only through trial & suffering is the soul strengthened." Helen Keller

It seems when life seems to be going pretty good.....BAM! Something completely out of nowhere rocks your very foundation. For me right now it's being pregnant with Our 4Th baby. I can't believe it. This one is completely different. I was sick with the others...ya know the basic morning sickness. I would feel puny in the morning. Then as the day went on I was good. This time I have had a really rough time. I have to take zofran and finnergan (which is what they give patients when they are receiving chemo). I keep waiting to feel better and be excited and enjoy this one. It is our last one so I really want to enjoy this.

In January I cut my hair short. My friend Nikki told me every time she cuts her hair short she gains weight. She grows her hair out and the weight comes off. I somewhat think she jinxed me. I was thinking literally everyone around me was pregnant and even joked about it. I was completely blindsided when I went to the doctor in Feb. with what I thought was this horrible flu that wouldn't go away. When they told me I was pregnant I said No! There's no way. I bawled. I know it sounds bad. I sat there thinking what? I came home told Ryan. His response"Oh great"! Totally sarcastic.

Something really cool is that I have been pregnant in good company. Two of my sister-in-laws. Melissa (Ryan's brother Eric's wife) had they're second baby in march. Kim (Ryan's sister) is having they're #4 on May 9Th. I would have never dreamed that we would both be having #4 at the same time. Well I am envious of both sisters. I'm due the end of Oct. So it will be a long hot summer. I've always dreamed of having a spring baby. Not gonna happen. Mine come August, September, and October. Wow!
